The pet food producer Hill’s Pet Nutrition, a subsidiary company of Colgate Palmolive, increased its net sales by 21.5 per cent to 1.06 bn dollars and its organic sales by 15 per cent in the third quarter of 2023. The operating profit stood at 201 mio dollars.
Volume was up 9 per cent during the period and pricing rose 12 per cent over the quarter. Nine-month sales for the division totalled 3.18 bn with an operating profit of 575 mio dollars, down from 617 mio dollars in the first nine months of fiscal 2022, especially due to higher raw and packaging material costs.
